I think this was taken at the Ice Bulge, where John put an ice screw on the ice for extra security. Here also was the steepest secton of the climb, we kicked in with the front points and used ice axe to spike into the ice, my first ice climbing experience right there. Pretty cool.

Somewhere right below the ice bulge, Dave who was behind me was struggling with his crampons, I was on a pretty steep section, supporting by 4 front points of my crampons and the ice axe, waiting for him to move. At first I was fine, but eventually I could feel my cuff muscles complaining. John told me to anchor myself and belay Dave in. That was fun, good excercise.
